Right all. Sorry if this has been done before but I cant seem to find alot. Propblem is my discovery 300tdi cut out today and had no dash lights or anythibg as though it had been turned off. pulled over turned the key to off and start again, lights came on but wouldnt tuen over I know the turning over is my immobiliser playing up again but would the immobiliser cause loss of dash lights etc. Im going to bypass the immobiliser but the cutting out and loss of dash lights is a new one. Any help would be good.

No, immobiliser just effects starter and fuel cut-off solenoid, wont effect dash lights. That's a separate issue/fault

Thats what I was thinking but thought id ask about. Il have to wait for it to happen again I think to see what happens as I wasnt driving my wife was. Lol

check yer ignition.
mine will still run when the key is not fully turned clockwise, but it cuts the dash lights, speedo and rev counter.

Could be a fun way to not rack up the mileage unless it activates the steering lock...:bump2:
nowhere near the steering lock, unfortunately it cuts the lights and gauges as well, so no way of monitoring stuff.
plus it'll cock up how much overdue a service the motor is:eek:
