Ahhh the famous Christmas tree lights. Unfortunately that is likely to be the beginning of a failing air compressor (mine did the exact same) over time it will get worse and the lights will come on more and more regularly as your drive. Until the pump gives up totally and they come straight on with ignition.

Sorry :(

discovery 3 looks like christmas tree 4 light liy up suspension lowered message and hdc fault

hi and welcome

what year is ur D3 plse,

is the battery ok

do ur rear brake lights work ok

have u had the fault codes read

there is a discovery section, if u wish to post it over there , as there's more of us there and always happy to help

gary

just thought

it can also be water ingress on the ecus behind the battery or brake pedal switch

but really need the codes read to give u some direction to look

all brake lights work next is code check i think all came on this morning

with it being complicated it's always better to get the codes read, just so it may steer u in the right direction

things i've heard that can cause the xmas lights are

bad battery
alternator
back bulbs , but you've checked them
brake pedal switch

3 x connectors behind the passenger side wheel arch

ecu box behind the battery , is behind a small cover, the terminals can get wet or a bad connection on the pins

hope that helps a little bit

As mentioned work your way through that list and hopefully you'll find the cause. Mine turned out to be the compressor and that too had recently been "refurbed" new seals etc

can't believe the list that can cause these xmas lights , they do like to throw a tantrum , lol

the suspension light was but not the others he said the suspension light was a height sensor and he can sort that another time

suspension light could have been ur compressor

the light was it like a car with an arrow on it, or was it orange or red

due to lights showing errors u really need it plugged in, can then see what errors have been stored

it does grind sometimes on the passenger front as it its stuck or trying to stop on for about 3 sec

sounds like u need to get ur mechanic back on it , especially if u can hear any grinding

when he plugs it in , he should then get the fault codes and also test the live data for each wheel

i would be very cautious driving it , if at all seeing the fault is unknown

always better to be safe than sorry
