Sounds strange if they were identical pumps.

oh well another school day :).

Hi old pump was gmk the one that came with was Hitachi today cleaned filters and dried pellets in sun they were damp pictures after cleaning and drying refitted and low and behold it goes up and down without lights but getting a rising slowly warning decided to search for a leak connection's ok then found a pinprick in the tank now bigger after poking ordered tank online should solve the problem hopefully

Yes I think so only learned yesterday about software differences between Hitachi and
Amk. Not throwing up codes anymore just by cleaning the filters in the compressor and in the cubby box. Tank should be here at weekend

Hi mate

good to see you’ve made great progress

indeed regarding the difference between the AMK and hitachi software , must confess i fitted stainless steel bolts for the new air tank and compressor bracket

also gave the air tank 3 x costs of dinitrol and the chassis whilst it was out , lastly replaced all those Voss connectors with brass push fits , found it a lot easier on the valve blocks , compressor and air tank when I replaced everything

indeed my old air tank leaked across the top where the weld was

can’t get over those Voss connectors are around £14 each opposed to the push fits, also due to so many bodges that had been done on the system I also made up a kit to test everything from the lines onto the struts , air tank and compressor seeing it was in such a mess

hope all goes well mate

Following air suspension issues dryer clogged, hole in air tank, leak on valve block have had creeping down of front end overnight can't find any more leaks left drops more so have bought a new used strut also was changing the bottom arm bushes but found a crack see pics so have ordered a new arm, easier to drop the stut slightly to get to the air connection wasn't to bad but remember to let the pressure out before fully undoing connection

Fitted new used airstrut car suspension stayed up overnight so hopefully fixed wasn't as difficult as I expected all I did was remove the fuse the compressor, tank and centre valve block can all be disconnected without the suspension dropping but think safety use stands and let any air escape before completely undoing fittings the suspension will stay up until you disrupt between front or rear valve block and the strut it's really not too daunting parts are not that expensive either used strut was £70 tank the same, dryer Crystal's and filters £20 on starting up after every replacement part it just returned to normal position so was chuffed, also fitted new disc's and pads bottom arm and wheel bearing on n/s also changing the oil this week for shell helix 5w 40 taking to France in 3 weeks

Took D3 out this morning almost immediately threw 2 fault code for suspension and steering sensor ( didn't panic honest) thought about it an the only thing I might have upset was tracking as the bottom arm washers were all dot punched and put back the same so change of plan and headed to local friends tyre centre noticed on way tyre screeched around round about steering wheel not centered put on 4 wheel alignment equipment was so far out the laser shone on the ramp so adjusted, come to the conclusion someone set the tracking with the very worn Bush, kind of compensate so reset and all lights disappeared driving so much better so I learned that the tracking can affect the suspension it drops and tells you all systems down but this was a long way. This is a latest project basically a farmer's run around unbelievably dirty inside and out removed the seats and gave it a serious clean fax etc. Fitted D4 seats £400 which are plug and play new wiper motor £25 compressor dryer filters and crystals £20 tank £70 used front strut £70 bottom arm £110, wheel bearing £65 two tyres continental £150 part worn and it's going to get filters and oil 10w 40 shell helix there was a few other small bits that I had in shed whole project so far under £1500 so they are out there

Today's project was to remove sump guard ready for dumping the oil and filter after run tomorrow took nearly two hours to get off using mostly breaker bar, when was the oil changed? suppose it may have been sucked out dip stick? Also going to do both boxes can anyone recommend a alternative to bot338 what do you use in your transfer box?

Carried on today with oil change on 07 today oil jet black and thin and piddly sump plug seized in oil filter I had to use a breaker bar to undo so been well maintained doing gearbox too looking for a alternative to bot338 any suggestions? Wasn't happy with suspension still dropped over a couple of days front only back solid, changed front strut switched the right for the left that I took off seeing I made no difference air connection is easier to get to removed wheel arch liner to double check front block, is it possible for it to leak back internally shows no signs of leaking pics show position of front valve block also shows chassis end of engine earth for anyone interested after refitting strut I just set to off road then back to normal and it leveled perfectly also fitted super charged grill I got for my birthday

Clocks all wrapped being collection arranged by the company £205 with vat and delivery both ways 2-3 day turnaround lifetime guarantee on repairs
Started looking at jag 3.0xf has been chipped apparently 322hp I have the bill from the tuner shame they never fitted a new cam belt, in pic you can see remains of tensioner likely cause of many cam belts, trying to form a plan of attack think I'm going to start with the rocker covers suspect it got bent valves if so both heads will go to ivor Searle for rebuilding ( will disassemble first ) will fit new lifters, rockers and timing chain gonna try removing heads in vehicle looks fun bought it for the engine but have never owned a jag so being 59 it's about time

Been doing a couple of other little things on the 07 thermostat housing had split on the seam but luckily had another and new seals so have fitted and refilled just waiting for instrument cluster to return had an email yesterday to say in had been recieved and assigned to an engineer have used these guys for several ecu issues they fixed a body ecu for me worked intermittently they take off all coding save to computer and reload when fixed ( with my limited understanding of electronics that's how I understand it ) so it's just plug and play on return, apparently as long as you can connect through diagnostic it can be fixed.
Having a fiddle with the 09 still not running as nice as they usually do, checking the fuel pipes against the 07 going to check timing when I return from France will send a postcard
