Symptoms: Metallic clicking / rattle that occurred sporadically, was speed related. Not related to the direction the wheels were pointing. Often only happened under load.

It got progressively worse over time.

Issue: Inspected the front prop and found excessive wear in the CVs. Problem now rectified.

Process: loads of threads discussing how to do the change. It’s possible to do the removal and refitting without taking off the gearbox cross member. I did have to remove two of the exhaust mounts and push the pipe over to one side. Managed to do it on the drive at home without much of an issue.

I recognize this clicking, did you replace the whole prop or just the CV?

You did well doing it on the drive.

I had the same on the L322 and pretty sure its the same sort of setup as the D3.
I wasnt so lucky , but have a pit.
