33’s sound way too big for laning. No wonder 4x4’s get a bad rap. That said, I ran 33’s (measured about 34” tall) on a stock height a Discovery. So you most certainly do not need 4 inches of lift for such tyres.
+5” shocks on +4” lift means only +1” of increased droop from stock. Doesn’t sound like a flex monster tbh. All of your suspension travel is in compression which will likely be hard to fully utilise. If you run extended bump stops suspension compression will be limited too.
Just out of curiosity have you ever considered having a go at something like RTV trials events? You’d be able to make much more use of major mods and is so much more fun than pay & play days.
Green laning shouldn’t be a challenge in a standard vehicle really. No need for extreme mods. If the terrain really is that bad you have either strayed from the prescribed and legal route or the lane is in no condition to being driven and may even have a TRO on it. My laning 90 has a set of 30” All Terrains on currently. More than enough for any lane I’ve yet driven.
