I had a leaking sunroof on Disco4, I've now the fixed problem but I wanted to share my solution to help anyone else with same problem.
The passenger footwell was full of water after I had been away for a few weeks. Because the sunroof drain holes were blocked the water entering the sunroof seal filled up the drainage channel and spilled over the edge onto the headliner, the water then drained down the headliner, down the front pillar and into the footwell. The drain holes / drainage tubes had become clogged with dirt and tree seeds and needed unclogging.
  1. Make sure it's the sunroof that leaks, open the sunroof and pour water into the drainage channel around the edge of the sunroof under where the sunroof seal around the edge of the sunroof would be if the sunroof was closed. For me, this water would not drain away and poured over onto the headliner.
  2. Take a bicycle brake cable and push down into the corner of the sunroof drainage channel, this pushes the cable into the drainage hole and down the drainage tube down the pillar.
  3. Take off the side airvent, these are difficult to remove but they do just pull off and will snap back in place afterwards.
  4. Remove the 2 parts within the vent hole to expose the end of the rubber drain pipe
  5. Push the bike brake cable up the rubber drain pipe, I found it difficult to do this so I used plastic cable for a garden strimmer / weed whacker. This unblocked the grime in the tube and black liquid poured out.
  6. Test the drain is working, pour a small amount of liquid into the sunroof drainage channel so it drains down the corner holes and then out of the rubber pipe in the airvent.

Just had to post a thank you here and hopefully bump the original post up. Having found the drain outlets a quick blast of air from a long nose and then copious amounts of hot water did the trick. Thanks again for the original post
