plastic wheel arch moulds and door moulds, 2 are as rough as a badgers arse, faided and discoloured, anybody painted them? just want satin black top coat, need primer etc to get them smooth, eat the sponge when i wash it, that rough!

Mine were like that on one side. Considered the filiing and painting route but ended up getting new ones a few weeks ago.

I have had some success with this stuff.
I just sanded the very rough surface off the whole trim part, cleaned it down with the degreaser spray then wiped the black stain over the part. If you just do a small piece it will work but the patch you treat will show up.
The odd little bits which I missed have remained grey but the bits which I treated have remained black.
Mask off the bodywork before you use the stain or it will show.

Rubbed mine down and they are actually pitted, so bear this in mind if you want a smooth painted finish. Going for rator finish on mine.

i am going to remove them, front passenger wing is the worst, will see if i can get one off fleabay then paint them all, then re-mount them, taking plastic cills off too, waxoyl under and in then put back on,
