 My Disco 2 ('99) has recently developed a problem where it won't go over 75 mph either on Cruise Control or manual throttle - the engine "backs off" as if I've taken my foor off the throttle. Same thing happens if going up a steep hill and trying to use 75% throttle or more. It performs fine otherwise and with no other symptoms

I had this problem on my 2000 model and it was the fuel pump although the turbo waste gate was sticking as well so try that first its the lever on the side of the turbo if you leave the actuator on you should just be able to move it but with the actuator off it should flop about

i think crank sensors either work or they don't work, there int no half way with them. so if it fooked yer injun probably wint work at all. i think

Throttle pot? I guess it needs to be plugged into the diagnostic gizmo.

A similar problem on my old 300Tdi was easier to remedy...... adjust the throttle cable.
