Some might say me lol, ive got a sticky dipstick i think its because my tube has a dent in it im guessing from when i destroyed a zafira from behind and its extremely difficult to check the oil and allmost impossible to get it back in, can anyone tell me the part no. and how difficult these are to change?

from my experience in the past on older cars if you can get them out it was a case of knocking back in but that was then ,I would be tempted to put some sealant around the new one as you knock it back in ,I presume there should be a stop on it so you get the right level on the dip stick

That could so easily be edited........... One thing I love about car chat is the possibility for double entendrers.....

My v6 has a collar that pulls up then the main tube pulls out. Drop the engine oil first usually.

Just bin out messing with it and now ive persistently forced it in and out (another ooeer i know) ive freed it up abit im not certain its dinted so im wondering whats causing it to stick. Ive noticed the ball is missing from the end of the stick im thinking maybe thats got stuck in the tube somewhere?
