defender 110 salisbury axel
the problem is that the propshaft is spinning but no axel movement,
when put in diff lock the front wheels only move,is it the diff or propshaft problem or something else,any ideas would be much appreciated

sounds like diff or half shaft.

not sure how easy it is to remove salisbury half shafts - but someone on here will.

Removing the shafts are a piece of ****. Most likley would be drive member splines or shaft spline wear tho unless the axle has been really abused or well used. Take off drive members check the splines. remove both halfshafts check for any broken or worn splines. If a shaft is broken and one end is stuck in the diff get some rebar or 12mm bar and bang the stuck piece out from the opposise side to the broken shaft. I bet its a drive member tho Jai

Thanks for your suggestions,i had a look and the diffs gone,
lots of little bits of metal in the oil.
