Hi

I've seen lots of comments about a tweak (turn screw to 4 o'clock) to the fuel pump to get better performance from a 300Tdi. Does someone have a how-to i can follow (with pictures?). I'm new to this particular engine and dont find the diagrams in the Haynes manual very easy to read.

Also, is it worth doing or just going to knacker my consumption totally?

I have blanked the EGR and got a de-cat on order.

Cheers

Google, tuning the Bosch VE injector pump.

Rough rule is fuel screw clockwise 90 degrees, boost pin 45 to 90 degrees clockwise.
Mark everything before adjusting it.

the above works well

make sure you have an egt gauge fitted as you will see 700 C in seconds at all rev's above 1800 rpm
