Nail polish remover is a mixture of water, acetone, and God only knows all what. Don't use it. Check the list of ingredients.
Your local pharmacist (check the spelling huh!) will sell you neat acetone.
It's very cheap if you buy it in 5 litre cans.
But do NOT use more than enough as it becomes counter-productive.
Just a tiny bit is enough. The same sort of amount a mean person would use of Fairy Liquid when washing the dishes. Just a little squirt.
