The missus is going ape.

The drive was covered in snow, then rain, now its dried up and revealed numerous patches all over me drive.

I have had a look underneath and nothing apparent although it seems to be coming from the engine area.

Its going in for a service tommorrow so hopefully sorted but does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning up the diesel blobs all over the drive. I've had the pressure washer on it but its not touched it.

Short of lifting the blocks and turning them over, i don't know if a cleaner solution is available.

Any advice greatfully received.

pour diesel everywhere else and say you repaved it all yoself and aint you a good bloke deserve summat make me dinner now im tired blah blah blah you get the message eh?
 
do a massive **** on the living room carpet, then say now the little diesel leak don't seem too bad does it!
 
Ok then, bury her under the paving while your turning them over then spend the insurance money on a landy that doesn't leak - incidently it costs nothing to drain all the oils out! :D
 
Im sure there is a product that can remove oil stains.If they are ordinary brick pavings you can't turn them over because they are flat on the bottom[no bevel on edge].you could buy some new but would take time to weather down the colour. Some good stuff called "resiblock" puts a impervious seal on your drive .Its good but last time I bought a can cost me £40 for 5 ltr and it doesn't go far. :eek:

I pour some in a squirty bottle....spray the area (dont let it get on your hands, it'll burns after a while!), then rinse off with the pressure washer...

Build a sand pit under the car, soaks up leaks nicely and cost's now't to replace the sand when it's dirty.
 
seriously, if it is only diesel try putting some Fairy Liquid neat on an area.
When we had diesel spillage on new roads, apart from a berserk foreman, the answer was proper Fairy Liquid. let it soak up the diesel and then wash or brush off.Worth a try

At the risk of being serious we have a herringbone block type drive. I use Gunk engine cleaner which seems to work with oil spots, spray leave and wash off.
Don't know whether it comes in different forms but this is an orange spray can. In fact did some spraying this morning. Funny how we have two cars and the drips are always under mine!
 
no matter what you do you aint gonna get diesel out of the block paving.

tell your lass it will weather off in the summer or just tell her to shut up and stop moaning :)

failing that replace the stained blocks for new !
 
it will burn off with a blow torch! i used to make rings of fire in the school car park that way. didnt leave anything behind. not even the emaculately kept flowers nearby. or my good reputation in the school...
 
Ive got 300 block plaving blocks sitting under me front window Carl ya can have a few of them if ya want for free, im in Stoke myself..:)
