Just niticed diesel leaking from front right by the egr valve. Any ideas of how big a job it is. Looks like its coming from fuel lines above turbo hose. Mainly on 1st start up

Click in the ‘reply’ box. At the bottom right is a button labelled ‘Upload a File’.

Easy job for a competent DIYer. As long as the parts to fix it can be found. I think hose PN: WJH104061 would probably fit ok, if it's the elbow hose leaking. If it's a straight hose, then any auto-factors would do it. It could also be the pipe coupler, which again would come from an auto-factors. You'll also need some worm clips.
No. Worm clips, or worm drive clips, are the type that use a screw thread to tighten a steel band. They are commonly called Jubilee clips, but that is just one manufacturer. Like this. These ones
Ok cheers for all your help is it 7-9mm i need to orderI prefer these clip for fuel lines as they do not pinch the hose, and tighten equal around the hose.

Photo 1 looks similar to my photo so will check all those. But not sure on photo 2 mine is a 53 plate 2.0Td4The clips that are fitted to the fuel thermo valve already are re-useable, they can be open with a thin bladed screw driver, then squeezed back together with some pliers, it maybe that the hose as flared on the end and needs cutting back a little, this is a judgment you need to make as you on there on the job, view it and make your decision then, at the same time you can see what size the clip is.
These vales are also on the R40 but under the rear f the car photo 2 below, the hoses tend to leak at the ends because of flaring.
