Aahaha. Simple day today as i didnt have much time; picked up a dixon bate tow ball/pin for good money, gave it a bit of a tart up with some black paint, the same stuff as i did my rear cross member with, and popped her on, should do nicely on the farm and also as a recovery point me thinks..

(Yes it does have a pin ;) its just drying)

Suddenly found that my left main beam fuse keeps blowing today, doesnt last a single flash, so thats tommorows job along with checking that all my nut bolts and bits i did up last week are still present and correct on the bearing job..

today was the turn of getting a side exit sorted because, well - because it sounds lavly, and i keep denting and smashing exhausts when greenlaning and p&p'ing :D photos will arrive tommorow :D

Then the other day i had a bit of brea down at the side of the m25, unfortuantly it ended up that my wheel bearing had collapsed!

This is what was left of my half shaft;

:bolt:

Exactly the same happened to my 110! And I was on the M25 when it happened! :eek:

Mine was a Britpart bearing though, and had only been on for a thousand miles or so.

I was pretty desperate to get this fixed and am strapped for cash atm, as soon as i have some more cash, timken are going straight on, but it did have to be brit part for the moment :(

OK so here is the side exit i put on yesterday, i had previously removed my centre box, but unfortunatly noone makes a kit for the 2.5 exhaust that has been left on my landy so i had used flex exhaust tube like this stuff; Flexible Exhaust Pipe 38mm - SSFEX38 with clamps on either end, it stood up to all my off roading and stuff so i cant reccomend it more tbh! BUt i decided to use this to get the bend in place, so i now have one tube out of the engine bay (original pipe) flex pipe then takes it over the chassis rail, then i have used a piece of old exhaust to take it from there to the outsideee! heres the pics, i will get some of the underneath tommorow for you guys, its dark now.. :(

i will probably still cut it down futher..

I bet pedestrians love you when you start her up at the side of the road!:rolleyes: when i do mine it will come out the off side;) Does it not vibrate in the opening, seems a bit close to the edge?

Mick, unfortunatly my towes were about to fall off doing this in the snow, so what i did in the end was put together a bracket welded onto the exhaust pipe, then quickly bolted it inside the wheel arch, and put it against one edge of the hole, then used the clamp to hold it hard against it, all vibration is taken up by the flexi tube, theres none ATALL on the end pipe, so i might just leave it as it is, will see what sorta damage it ends up doing to the edge of the body work haha!

But yeh, it most certainly scares the shoot out of pedestrians, if i just idle its normal volume nearly, so pedestrians at traffic lights are the bestest ;)

So the vibration is lost in the flexy pipe?
I was thinking more of the puff of black smoke on start up, getting scared by noise is fair game;)
