Hi All,
Can someone shed some light on how to replace the diaphram on the injector pump on a 200tdi,I know were it is just not sure how to go about it without making a balls up:eek: .

cheers

Pop the 4 screws off ontop of the pump.then remove the diaphram. Make sure to put the new one back in, in the same orintation. ie the you have not rotated it 90 degrees or somthing. As this will affect the face witch the pin sits on and changes the fuel to boost pressure. hope this helps

i would say mine wernt super tight but i did use a socket set on them. So yer doubt you would get it undone with just a screw driver.

well,I converted my 90 from the 2.5td to a 200tdi (disco)and I have a lack of power up hills and on straights,so I will be changing the fuel filter and diaphram to see if it makes a differance,I have already changed the lift pump as it was broke so I need to go around it to find the cause. All intercooler/turbo hoses are bodged up I should be getting new ones this week maybe this will help.Any thoughts or ideas please let me know.

cheers

If the diaphram is still flexable and doesnt have cracks in then chances are its proble fine. Ild give the engine a good service, change of oils filters belts and maybe see to the bodging if its bad.

How bad is the lack of power? have you compared to some one else's?
You could always give it a little tweak but ild try the other things first.

ok,the intercooler/turbo pipes are things I have made up to see how it went after conversion bits of the disco pipe & defender pipe I have noticed that the bottom pipe from turbo to intercooler expands on revs I dont think the pipe can take the pressure. As it is at the moment it is slower than my old 2.5td realy strugles on hills up and down the box all the time feels like I'm pulling a trailer but there is no smoke at all.
