Hello all,
I have now owned my 58 FL2 TD4S for 6 months. I recently suffered from a clogged fuel filter, which brought up the dreaded 'reduced engine performance light', then went into limp mode. There were two low fuel pressure codes logged:- P0087 & P0088 relating to the clogged filter. Which were diagnosed by land Rover Assist. Changed filter, now A1. I had tried a ms509 code reader first, which had problems connecting & came up with no codes stored.
I know that Hawkeye would work, but a little expensive.
I'm looking for a code reader that would read & delete codes on a FL2 td4.
Anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks.

Grayo,
Thanks for the info, looks decent. Have you used it on a FL2? Logged any codes?
I have Opcom for my Astra, excellent for Vaux's. Can't use it on my Landy though.
Thanks.

Not used it on FL2. It plugs into the ODB2 diagnostics socket on my FL1. Checked for any fault codes and none were present. Also pluged it into my wife's astra 1.3 D and no fault codes reported there.

Why can't you use the Opcom on the FL??? it should be the same plug or is it only for Vauxhall ???

Opcom is vaux only, need a laptop too. The ms509 worked on my Astra, Kia Rio, but not on the Fl2. The software may be diff on the Freelander Mk 1 & 2. Not totally sure though.
I also have another cheap plug & play OBD2 scanner, does not work on the FL2 either. Neither will it read CAN systems.

Update.
Think I've found a cheap plug & play code reader that works on my FL2. It's a D900 (2012 model). Reads & deletes CAN codes, with some live readings. More than happy with the code readers functions for the cash:)
