Hi people, 1st post on the forum.
Can anyone please tell me
1. Where the diagnostics plug is on my TD5 Disco?

2. Whether I need special diagnostic equipment. I work for the council and we use Texa Navigator TXT/TXC diagnostics, I may also be able to get use of a Snap-on Solus?

Thanks in advance

Kyle

hi. plug is just below steering wheel to the left. not 100% sure, but i think only hawkeye or nanocom. others will hopefully verify.

Hawkeye or nanocom are the most commom but testbook if you are loaded or take it to garage. Might be peeps on here local to you who could help. There are other bits of kit you can plug in. Someone else more knowledgable will be able to tell you.

AFAIK the TEXA covers it, so does the Snap-on ... except the ACE and some programming features, but IMO u will be able to read/erase fault codes with those. For full coverage u need nanocom, hawkeye, testbook T4, autologic or DEC SS II.

I have a nanocom original and a snap-on modis (I've had both the snapon ethos and solus pro previously too). The snapon diagnostics are great for reading codes/live data quickly and erasing trouble codes. I use the Nanocom for programming and running in instrument mode.

I usea arovacom mk11 on my disco 2
does everthing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
even works on p38 and td4 up to 2004 .....
