Yep. I'm in Perranporth and I was living in Redruth when I first moved down.

Perran is a nice place to live, I would think. About fifteen miles up the coast from here, we are near Hayle.

7pm if you want dinner, food was quite nice last time we were there!:) 8ish if you don't want to eat!

Yeah Perran's not too bad now all the holiday makers have dispersed. We're only here for the winter then moving back to Druth.

Yes, nice and quiet on the roads now, and the weather has been quite good with it too! :)

I do like the town, one of the few in Kernow where the locals have managed to fight off the supermarkets. Lively high street as a result, got more of a community feel than some.

TM ..may have found a place that does a Dinitrol under body jobby ...like the waxoyl folk , but using that stuff instead ...think it might be worth further investigation .

As we have discussed before, I think the dinitrol is far better, especially inside the chassis! ;)

Is it anywhere convenient, or in Wick or somewhere, as usual!:D

The place we've found so far is near Abingdon , Oxfordshire .... I could spend three days exploring Oxford ...... And it's relevant restaurants :D

That is a really good plan, it is a lovely area, probably some biking for Ian too!
We have friends at Chalgrove, not too far away.

I think it's a three day process , 1st day is complete steam clean and inspection , 2nd day is the procedure , third day you can take the vehicle ...I think ..didn't study it too hard , left that to Mr ...but we'd like to then pop up to Yorkshire for some sedate laning , but whether that'll be possible , I'm not sure.

That sounds pretty thorough! :) Give it a bit of time to harden up before it gets road grit slung at it.

Watch out for they Yarkies, some o they sounds like real hellers to me!:D

Won't be till March ...those yarksire lasses and hellish laners will still be pished from Christmas :D

The place we initially looked at in Oxfordshire is called Frogs island ... 3 day process and costing £450 inc vat ...using Dinitrol ...which I'm sort of thinking might be better than waxoyl ...Betsy was done when we first had her ...can't remember what the stuff was called but I think it began with H ..so it's not like she's had waxoyl already (if she had I'd probably stick with it) Anyway I think Mr has found some other places now ...not sure where tho :)

I have heard they are quite helpful.

Was it Bildt Hamber stuff before, people seem to rate that.

It is really what they do with the inside that is the issue with the cheap places. Sometimes nothing! But imo the inisde is more important, outside can be salvaged when pretty far gone, inside cant.

Think I'll ring them next week and get the low down ...one thing (probably un-necessarily ) I worry about , is that because we are travelling from so far away ..that they may do a s**t job , knowing we are unlikely to be able to bring the vehicle back :( I know it's a risk you have to take .

Sorry no that name doesn't ring a bell , although I think it was a foreign word .
