Hi guys. Couple of questions.....
first, does anybody know the part number for the part circled below? it's the channel for the window, I've got all the packers which go around at the top, but can I heck find this! I've been on retroanaconda and typed it into paddocks... with no luck :(

second....
is an old inner panel ok to use on a tdci door? if so can a bracket be made to fit across the section circled below. any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like you’re sorted for the window channel, as for the bracket, depending on what skills and tools you have that will be an easy enough fab job.

I would NOT go from the old bracket and up to the inner panel; this will create a weak point. I would bridge across from the door frame and ignore the old one; in fact, I would cut the old one off and weld it on at the right point. Looks like you are trying to do a decent job of building yourself a new door, so I would not drop to the sorts of inadequate levels of fabrication that Freelander drivers stoop to.

Cheers for the reply's guys. It was number 3 I needed, I put it into paddock & it came up...Thanks! As for the panel, I bit the bullet & got the new style for £22. I though I'd do it properly as you mentioned "weak points" those I don't want! seems silly to spend so much on the doors, only to have them go again.

sorry to bring back an old thread, but do you have a part number for the inner steel panel?

it looks like the right part thanks, but it's difficult to know for sure without know the chassis number for a tdci. i also need the window guide channel at the rear of the door. thinking now i should have bought a complete door rather than a bare one.

great site btw,
