second nature driving autos i have a caddy van manual and i come to junctions and stall it all the time cos i forget to use the clutch re mapped you wanna see it go pmsl

Hello all,
I’m about to fit a Puma dash to my 300 tdi. Where do start with the wiring? Tdci loom/ 300tdi loom?
Any tips will be gratefully received

depends what you have and how much you have do you have full tdci loom if so use the lot and run to the back end if not your gonna have to do some joining and splicing ive got v8 back bit joined to a td5 back bit front engine bay home made running to tdci harness into dash then custom wiring to doors for locking leccy windows etc and custom wiring for clock custom led light indicators for dash and td5 clock to be wired in using binnacle from tdci all in all a nightmare lol but will be worth it in the end

Thanks for that. I only have the harness that comes out of the bottom of the bulkhead up to a bunch of plugs. I’m assuming an awful lot of these will be redundant. I’ve heard that someone has sussed out the 300tdi to the tdci dash rather than making a clock set up? Have you heard of this being done?

I've used a 300 in my 300 90 to a tdci dash easier than trying to retro fit a puma bulky harness to a 300 gauges etc bring fuse box from centre to new location of puma dash access using puma fuse box mount and extend ns loom to lights easy peasey

Do you mean you have a 300TDI, working with the gauges from a PUMA? I have seen a speed sensor from a 300TDI ROW (or TD5) operate a PUMA speedo, but never the rev counter. Any info on this is greatly appreciated?

na old school me lol fitted 300 gauges into tdci binnacle minimal elec-trickery:) good old fashioned cable speedo etc

Ok, I now have chassis, wings and engine harness off a tdci to go onto my project. I also have the newly released converter to use tdci dash on its way with the td5 speedo transducer. I think the hard work is about to start. Any advice gratefully received lol

get out ya test meter and loads of patience as your gonna need it took me ages to sort all mine out you will find most things dont work as they are controlled by the ecu you dont have and most wires seem to loop back into the drivers side seat box ,a lot of patience is required ,i still havnt got round to sorting my fuel gauge or water temp gauge i butchered the tdci clocks and fitted standard gauges in the cluster instead using small led bulbs with all the symbols on them from china they look the part to be honest switched the heater control bulbs to blue led too so should look ok i hope.

landy complete.jpg

Now that I've made a few I'm gonna start making up the gauge panels, ideally I'll get another lot of gauges so I can test build em to ensure everything fits then offer em for sale
Glad to report I'm back at work again Hooray er Boooo ha ha
Are you now selling these dash conversions. Running 300tdi Auto with Puma Dash. No electronics at all apart from radio. Have the puma binnacle complete as well as tdi unit. any help would be much appreciated.

Well it’s been a long time since I first asked questions about this. To date, I have mated my 300tdi to an auto box, had all panels painted individually, got my set up for the centre console, purchased the magic box to allow me to keep the original tdci clocks. Now for the hard bit.......... the wiring

I’m also trying to source the 90 degree bend with a bleed valve to connect pipes for heater. Any tips to source one would be very much appreciated
