Hii,

Quick question regarding swivel balls. I’m swapping mine out as I’ve had the dreaded death wobble. I brought the kit with the ball pictured on the right and the one I’ve removed on the left which I know now has railko. My question is I’m pretty sure I’ve brought the wrong one ffs haha could someone confirm this so I can change it out for the correct one or is there a way to make the new one compatible with this set up Thanks in advance .

Have you got ther complete kit ?
What year and type is your car ?

If the seal surface of the original ball is good just replace the Railko bush and steering pin, Setting the pre load then will eliminate the wobble.

Ball is pitted mate definitely needs changing out.

Full kit mate with top and bottom bearings. Defender 1989 with a 200 disco axle by the looks of it.

Railko into swivel balls

Hello all, Just got delivery of new swivel ball kits and took them out to have a look. The railko bush and lower bearing race seem to be a poor fit into the casting - is this normal? what is the best way to press these in do I need to heat the casting up or should I be able to just nip it...
