Righto.

Sorry guys but I am on the scrounge. Can anybody who has a standard height 90, please measure the wheel centre up to the arch, and confirm the measurement?

As I said in a previous post mine is 550mm all round and I just want an approximate measure.

Waiting for pay day and then either getting smaller tyres or standard springs on order once I have figured it out.

Cheers

I believe my 90 is 500mm if I remember correctly

i just had the same problem with my 90 it was 2" to tall to go into the garage!

i did think about swapping the 35" tyres but then i had a look at the door yesterday and i raised it 4" i put block of wood under the frame and re bolted the door to the brackets its worked a treat only took me a mate a couple of hours to do!

this may not be possible for you but worth a look?

Excellent. Getting there now.
The Defender is a 300tdi with disks all round luckily so not too limited with wheels.

Daz the 500mm arch height would fit in with a 2" lift, so that is really useful info cheers.

As for the garage door, I think I am getting there too. Just managed to get a standard catch off tinternet so I can take the flipping big arm off the door and the electric motor off the ceiling and will get more room. The clear height into the garage is about 2m so hopefully with a bit of fettling it will fit.

Cheers

Thas okay I must add that 500mm wad the rear near side. I'm pretty sure that the driver side sits higher to accommodate for driver and fuel next time I brave the snow ill measure that side for you.

Daz. That would be great.

Managed to take it a run up the road at the folks tonight, after fixing the diesel leaks, and it was down right scary. That'll be a new steering box to add to the list! (And some new pants) may try to adjust it first though. Dad had lost the correct Torx key and mine were at home.
