LR stamped out their own panels. Some also sent out to 3rd party companies for sale to public, sometimes unknown to the public they were made at Solihul. Some of the kit went to companies so they could produce certain panels to keep lr's going for repairs. But that's it. The track started being taken apart and scrapped the day after production closed they said.

I too was suspect when seeing the above earlier. Lr made rolling chassis's with a cab so you could put yer own rear box on. But never knew or seen the complete body sold as a built kit. Would be interesting to know the price.

Sorry my mistake it was Bulldog offroad 4x4 i had a quick shufftie last night at the Ebay listing that i won back in July and could not find any link to their export side of business.
Although there are links to Canada,
I saw quite a few that were bespoke high end customer orders ready for shipment,,,

@owas link above shows the same vehicle so must be from Portugal...

That’s more than a shell, it’s got seats and some interior trim etc

How much are they?
19500 depending on spec ?? It’s relisted on eBay I’m not sure if it’s genuine that’s why I asked on here but seems to me if you have an old defender past it’s best then a body up grade is money in bank maybe?

You can get a really nice 110 TD5 for £20,000
Probably the best on the market, low miles and pristine.
Likely to be a better bet in “investment” terms than a TDCi rebuild.
But the TDCi makes a better daily car, if that’s what you want to use it for.
And any Defender is a better bet in depreciation terms than a normal car.

On eBay earlier there was a 2004 td5 90 van with a sunroof, it was bidding at 9k and still going, and also it has 204.000 miles

Often on Ebay the seller bids their own vehicle up, check on completed/sold listings for a better idea of actual sale prices.

In the case above the vehicle will generally be re listed after a few days

Well guys winters here and all ready noticed it’s bit warmer in the puma but to be fare we’ve insulated it more but the heater performs better even the wife who loves our ivy (300 tdi ) says it’s warmer so on rebuild will definitely make any upgrades possible so if any of you guys out there have got the tee shirt would appreciate any advice thanks

Looking good, especially when you look at the damage.

Worth knowing about the rust issue on the later defenders. My 1989 ninety is on its original chassis. I can’t think there will be many of the puma ones with the same when they’re that age.
True bad steel strip em an galvanise em or do it old school old engine oil
