Hi,

I bought my first Defender 2 weeks ago so i'm pretty new to all this but since buying it i have had:

- Fuel leaks
- Transmission oil leak
- Clutch fluid leak and subsequent clutch failure
- Fan Belt failure

Luckily, I have a 3 month warranty so its all repaired free of charge.

The question is, when do I give up? and should I expect more?

Its a 1986 County with 120,000 miles and a reconditioned 200 tdi

cheers,
Jake

I don't mind having landys flowing through my blood but I'm mighty glad it aint flowing in my **** cos I'm fecked if I'd like to pass one.:D

In my ' Ongoing work ' thread is a little taster of what needs to be done/will be doing as part n parcel off owning a Landy for me. I got mine at a fair price but i knew i'd be putting that same amount into it over the next 12 months as part n parcel of what i wanted.

If you want to go further with it, you will find things to do, if you just want to drive it till something breaks, then leave it alone till then ;)
