Just a wee progress report.
Bracketry cut, drilled, tapped, welded and painted....






Made a big long T-bar out of box section to slide throo the bracketry, which also slides throo the back feet of the seats...



 
Front seat frame welded, drilled, painted and bolted to what's left of the original tubes that I cut down....






 
Seats bolted to bracketry. To take seats out, just undo the bolts on the seat frame and pull out T-bar. These seats ain't goin' anywheres;) Just need to sort out summit for securing the top of the seats and modify the centre seat lap belt!!!!

hell of a lot of work just for some seats :) . But strangely fascinating , i await your updates with interest ;) mmmm maybe i need to get out more !!
Looks to me as if your about ready for fitting , cant be that much still to do , have you found a way to secure the back ?

Still tryin' tae suss oot the back, but may have a couple of ideas;) It does seem a lot of work, but it would've bin a lot easier if ah knew what ah was doin'. next time (if there is a next time) will be easier;) Gives me summit tae do of an evenin' tho':D
 
Nice to see a thread with pics in it , gives a better idea of what your doing and might help/encourage other to try the same thing . Hope you enjoy the seats as much as i`ve enjoyed watching your work :D

Ah'm sure ah will cos there's a pub at the end of it;) Made a mistake aboot when ah'm gan, it's no till the 18th!!!
Ah'll huvtae make sure the bus is well secure and check there's no buggers sneak in the back:p :D :D
