For the past eight months or so, two of us have been travelling and living in our Defender Td5 CSW 110. Since we intend to do this for several years, the time has come to make it more comfortable and spacious. On wet, cold days and evenings, for example,we want to have somewhere to sit other than in the two seats, drivers and passengers, and somewhere to cook other than outside. Thus we have two options: sell and buy a mobile home, or convert what we have. We have little idea as to what mobile homes cost, nor the cost of a fairly radical Land Rover conversion.
We came across AZALAIs website, which is interesting, and wonder if anyone reading this has experience of them or knows someone who has, and could comment on the quality of their work, etc.etc. Another website showed the Land Rover Explorer a mobile home Land Rover sold in the USA in the 1960s (for $1,300). This is also the kind of thing we had in mind (Ill try to attach a picture). Suggestions about other companies who undertake the kind of conversion were interested in all also very welcome.
Thanks.
