Following on from the previous thread, swapped axles and transfer box of the 200tdi disco and splashed out on a new Ashcroft r380 gearbox aswell as the 200tdi.:)

However, now i want to connect up the brakes. Swapped font calipers for defenders ...sorted.

Rears though? The 90 had a 2.5NA circa 1986. The brake master cylinder has two outlets one for the front and the other for the rear?

T-piece for the fonts?

The rears went through a PRV (pressure release valve) i think. Is it necessary to fit again or can i go direct to the rear calipers?

Do i need a new brake master cylinder with three outlets?

Any advise welcome.

Cheers

i would just pipe it up as is ,ive done a few never had a problem, there are 2 types of valve used pdwa with a switch in it which warns of any differential of pressure ,between front and back circuits ,so would make no difference to your brakes ,and a prv (pressure reducing valve ) which lowers the pressure to rear circuit to stop rear brakes locking up first, after testing brakes if rear lock up to easily remove valve.

thanks for the reply, when you say pipe it up do you mean take one line to the fronts via a t piece and one to the rear without the prv? cheers

yep just pipe it up with a tee piece. if you do get too much locking up on the rear add the prv. i would put one in anyway
