If you want 265s, and looking for new wheels then you got it right in your first post - check the offset of your new wheels.
Youv'e got two options (to avoid spacers or other mods):
(a) find someone with
exactly the same wheels and tyres and they say they fit well and youve seen the pics and they loook good. By far the easier method.
(b) do it scientifically - find out the width & offset of your current wheels and compare this with the new ones your considering. By looking at back and front spaicng you can see where the new rims will sit. From what i've seen, in the ~8" width you can get offsets from 0mm to +25mm.
If your looing for allys, I did some reseach into offfset of common aftermarket brands - can send you this if it would help.
btw with 265s you are also have the option of 7" wide rims.
But forget all that and get much bigger feet
- why do you want your poor little tyres looking overhwelmed by that big Landy!
