Hmm, I got a strange feeling there will be a set of five LR Boost alloys (16" x 7") shod with nearly new BFG AT tyres listed on ebay at 7PM this evening - don't know why but I just feel it in me water :D (tyres are only 235 wide though)

if it be you selling the wheels PM me and we may be able to talk business :D

you got any pictures.

or send me the link so i can have a bid on them lol

kingpins are a bit ****... my dad has them on his series, admittedly they are a bit old now, but the first motorway trip he's done in it since he bought it, 2 of them died. Hmm...

well it looks like i found me a set of wheels with tyres 235/85R16 he says teh wheels are 7" wide so i can get the wider tyres at a later date :)

thanks for the help and advice guys :)

Ben

if ya want maximum diff clearance the only way to achieve this is with tyres, body lift and suspension lifts will not give any more clearance..

the thing that most often gets ya stuck is the diffs grounding out..

i started with standard 205 tyres,,,then put 236/85/16 ats on,,,then 265/75/16 insa turbos,,,then simex 35/10.50/16...i now have 35/11.50/15 silverstone extreme...

What mods do you have to carrying out to run these tyres? I take it you have to have a body lift? What else? Steering mods? What wheel size? Upgraded running gear? etc.

I saw a defender on ebay the other day with 38"x13x15 maxis creepy's and now i really want big wheels providing i can find some reasonably prices ones. Just need to find out wat else im gonna have to do to it to make them work, cheers.

A ready supply of halfshafts, diffs etc.

Yes the pennies starting to drop with this idea. Does this sound about right:

The gearing would be all wrong (even for me v8)
I'd need a body lift
I'd go through 10 gearboxs a year
Driveshafts and propsharfs would get wrecked

Hmmmmm......... Maybe a should just be sensible and post my wheel size to find out the biggest I should go without straining...
