i dont give a fook about mpg..it it needs fuel i put fuel in..when it runs low i put more in..

it could be doin 5mpg or 55 mpg i dont care

smiles per gallon way more important

i get about 27 mpg out of my 90, 200tdi discovery engine conversion with the normal 1.410 transfer box running 265/75R16 special tracks and its not the lightest as its got 2 winches, cage.
i used to get 30mpg when i used to have 265/75R16 cooper stt before i got the special tracks.

My '97 110 300tdi with Brownchurch roof rack & BFG A/T's will return 28 - 30mpg - surprised its not significantly less than the 90's.

Jelous of the people hitting 30 but **** to economy like wiltshireman said get more smiles per mile out your motion lotion if you want to save money buy a polo or something.

i rekon i get around 20 - 25 once taking into account speedo / millage error for the big tyres and disco transfer ratio. driving like a normal person around town or 70 - 75 on motorway.

on country roads the mpg goes up a bit more on runs doing between 50 - 60 mph

towing 2 ton i dont notice any difference stil between 20 - 25 mpg

def 90 300tdi no cat
