hey guys. I got a landy about 5 months back. I wonder if you guys thought I paid to little/much for it. £2050. new tyres recently put on. snow/ice ones. full service history upto 2007, ie missed a year out before I got it.

defender 90 (1991, H) 200tdi. 130k on clock. new timing belt at 126k
had one month MOT/tax. Cost me £100 to get through the MOT due to welding on chasis. Seemed the steering box leaked, but the level has not gone down in 4 months and I have been green laning and stuff and driven about 2k.

Body is fair, few dents and stuff. inside is tidy. Pretty basic, with steel bumper, no extra. Although has a rack pin tow bar thingy. had to replace the oil seal on rear wheel other day and that is it. Currently doing a service, and not coming across any problems so far. Just the door locks are iffy, but being replaced and the bonnet catch is seized.

What do you guys think?

Are you happy with it? If so then you haven't paid too much. If your not happy then you've paid too much

to be honest u can tell can u buy u just sayin without seein it in person, but like redhand said if ur happy with it u have not paided to much, but sounds like right money to me

if we say ya got a bargain you will be happy
if we say ya paid too much you will be ****ed off
so why beat yrself up over it you got it now

How do you value happyness?

If it gives you pleasure and makes you smile then it's cheap at half the price.

haha, I love it what ever you guys would say. I got rid of my 4 year old car to have this beast, and I have not a single regret. I wasn't sure really how much things are worth, I just know this was cheap compared to the others I saw, but then so many variables. I guess my point is, if I go out and spend loads on it, would it be bad, as its not worth it, or is. Like the safety gear, cage, winch etc... Winch is just moments away from being purchased. goldy goldfish 9.5 low profile.

Wouldn't bother with a cage. unless you're going to be doing comp or extreme P&P and don't buy a cheap winch it will burn out as soon as you use it in anger. I don't know anyone who's bought a cheap winch and got any decent use out of it.

red I was going to get a goldfish 9.5i goodwinch, are they not good? The reviews look promising

Never heard of them, post a link. If on Ebay forget the reviews they are almost always pieces of fiction made up by the sellers.

Oi! RUDD! NIL DESPERANDUM! As Redhand says; if you're happy with it then you ain't paid too much. But remember: now that you've got it you can play with it. You can do what you want with it. We've all been there. It's your project now. Forget what you paid. You'll be paying more now for accessories! Who cares? Move on. As I like to think: "This is my Land Rover. There are many like it. But this one is mine."
