Hi guys,

wonder if i can pick anyones brains!!!!! my power steering went on my defender 300tdi the other day, iv been under the bonnet and its the union pipe between the pump and hose thats blown at the flange but i cant seem to find anywhere online to get one from. Can anyone help?????

Cheers for the reply, but that's the wrong part you sent a link for. The pipe I'm after is an L shaped union that's about 2inches long with a flange that bolts to the pump and other end fits hose and jubilee.

A photo would help I don't know of any parts that have a hose clip apart from the Reservoir tube .

Thanks got ya looking at this pump looks like a new pump is in order I'm afraid

If its a bolt on one like in your photo you won't get one new second hand from a breakers.

Looking at the prices for second hand you best buy a new one less than £50

I bought a new pump the other day but thought if its just that then can send pump back n save some money.

I. Doubt very much that you can buy it on its own its part of the pump second maybe but might S well get new .

If it's the feed to the pump from the reservoir and it has split at the flange, it can be soldered back together using silver solder if it's brass.

If you have a steel one, it can be repaired using TIG welding.

The seal is an 'O' ring beneath the flange. Are you sure that it's not that which has blown?
