hello friends..

normaly when start engine, then it have a bit lower power until it raise some temerature, then it drives ok.
2 weeks ago (there was around -15C) i start my def and its sounds strange than normal, revs strange also, and absolutely no power for drive (engine want to die when put 1st gear)
so i parked back to place and leaved.
day ago it doesnt start(cracnk) at all.
so iv ordered distrib cap, distrib arm, coil, ht leads..

when replacing distrib cap and ht leads then made mistake,
and now dont know correct leads position on distrib cap..
found some wiring diags on google, but not exactly for my 3.5 V8 carb..
iv tested them but engine even dont have any tendency to crank.
can someone help with this ?
maybe theres even other prob ?

when im in front of car then engine is like this?
1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8

or reversed 8 > 1 ?
also my distrib is 35DLM8, where is nr 1 on it ?
attaching photo..

sorry for my english, but i cant ask on our local forum because V8 is rare here..

This should point you in the right direction regarding the firing order but it sounds to me like either your battery is flat or the starter motor is no good if it won't crank over ;)

hi V8jon,
starter motor spins, so it seems ok.
actualy iv connected leads like this,
just battery is flat now, need to connect other one.

distributor - theres 2 clips which holds cap together with distributor,
iv positioned lead nr1 in right side of front clip and then continue clockwise with 8,..

Correct, number 1 on distributor is on right side of clip, for example close to number one plug.

Hope that helps :)
