You can't rule it out without testing the plugs, this can be done with a cheap multimeter, the plugs are not expensive but it's worth buying good ones as they can be a bit of a fiddle to install, I took off the manifold and cleaned it out when I did mine a few years ago.
I had some slight problems running cold recently, I put in a new temperature sensor which seems to help.
