That sort of monet should get you a half decent one, if you are not sure what to look for, avoid off roady looking ones covered in spotlights, tree sliders, steering guards, lift kits etc. etc. go for one thats had mostly road use, and add whatever you want yourself, more enjoyable.
Have a good look at the chassis, and outriggers and rear crossmember.
Dont be afraid to poke around with a screwdriver, if its sound the owner shouldn't mind, will probably smoke on start up but should clear after that, have a good test drive, at least 5 miles, use all gears and check low ratio and diff locks. After test drive when you turn it off, try and restart it straight away. The list does go on, try and take someone with a bit of knowledge, and look at as many as you can.
