I've had a look around but cant seem to find any info on this. Does anyone know what kind of LEDs the green lights are on the dash. My Cruise control and EAS Override are both out and its annoying me.

Cheers

They're filament bulbs AFAIK and integral with the switches, you can't replace them unless you're very handy with tiny screwdrivers and soldering irons. You have to dismantle the switches, which of course aren't designed to be taken apart. Or buy new switches from main stealer.

OH NO YOU DON'T !

Get the switch out by removing the panel, disconnecting the plug and pressing the switch out. On the side of the switch you'll see two little coloured discs with slots in them. One is the dash illumination bulb the other is the switch tell-tale. Unscrew the disc one quarter turn and you can pull it out. Replacement bulbs are available from Maplins (other electronic shops are available) who call them peanut bulbs. Whilst you're doing this you can consider changing the colour of the bulbs. Don't try using LEDs as the light from them is too directional to work properly.

:D

I stand corrected! What switches did I have to take apart? Perhaps it was on a TD5 Disco, or was that a MK4 Golf........old age, memory loss.........

Anyone know the exact part? Also how do I get the the ones around the climate control, mine are all dead.

Epic! Cheers dude!

I'll have to get this sorted.

Another quick question... Anyone know the bulb type for the one behind the odometer? My mates is shot.

Cheers

The simplest way to repair the lights around the climate control is to buy a complete set of bilbs for the HEVAC unit from ebay.
