Was going to collect the new rangie today but the deal went south dealer not happy with how things are going with the bits he was putting right so thanks for the answers to my previous two questions

ok onto the new,if all goes well tomorrow car.
53 plate L322 diesel Overfinch
If he re attaches the rear roof spoiler and gets the bottom tailgate to work then she’s mine

So my third question on here is
there a few lines out on the dash display,is it an easy job to either fix the lines or fit a new dash pod and I’d imagine this would have to go on a computer to sync up
Any idea of the cost of a replacement dash pod or to repair the original one

Hopefully this will work with a picture

What wasn't he happy about Dave? From memory was it a drop link he said would cure s suspension clunk. If he's not happy about that he'll be well p1ssed off when something major happens and you start quoting "fit for purpose " he'll be off like greased weasel sh1te. Get all the problems sorted before parting with money.

I’m with him^^^^^^

I have read about fixing that part of display, but sorry can’t remember where, maybe search will turn something up. But don’t remember it being expensive.
But if it’s from a dealer make them fix it:)

Overfinch

Really;)

Well it's got the badge, make sure its proper.

It's an easy fix iv done a few just remove the top dash panel all the side vents remove loads of other bits pull out the display ...... ......then the hard part
Strip down said display...involves drilling it
Remove loads of bits
Clean old glue from pcb
Refit new display if you dont align it properly it wont work BUT you wont know until you refit it

Honest it's a simply repair a d pretty cheap

This is one reply to all
Was going to get a 05 car, dealer fixed drip links then the air suspension went south he changed 3 crossover valves but the fault still shows on dash so today he offered the 53 plate Overfinch for the same price
05 car had 120,000 Overfinch has 80,000
Went to look this afternoon and the lower tail gate refused to open and the top tailgate spoiler dropped off
He’s fixing both
He’s also replacing the low range and hill descent switch as both have gone on this car
Only fault I can otherwise see is the dash display which I could live with as the one on my rover 75 is far worse.
How can I tell if it’s a genuine Overfinch ?
It has the name plates on the front door step
It has the rear tail roof spoiler
It has tv in the back headrests
Will be say on the log book ?

the dealer seems a decent chap,I know they all SEEM to be nice until things to belly up but he seems genuine
What’s the approx value of a 53 plate Overfinch?

Bonnet air vent is different

Chances are that’s all it is (bling) don’t be taken in by it:eek:
Unlikely any paperwork these days as only cosmetic. unless it’s been chipped, but I don’t know how or what way you can prove that.

Think of it as a standard RR.
But the mileage is a small advantage, but it’s slightly older. Hope the price reflects.
