Hi all. I'm a newbie to the Landrover scene. I have other vehicular obsessions but my appreciation/curiosity for Landrovers is relatively new. Having lived in the South Island of New Zealand I got into some 4WDing and really appreciated how those skills allowed me to get to places most people cant. I'm a photographer so that was important to me.
Have owned a 300Tdi D1 briefly and loved that. Very capable machine off road. Rust eventually killed that one though.
Currently driving a 2007 D2 Td5 Auto. 350,000kms so high but not past it. Engine is clean, and perhaps alarmingly doesnt burn or drop oil.
When I got it it had 19" rims and low profile tyres. I've swapped them back to original 16" rims and put some MTs on it at original size spec.
Ironically since doing that, It's hardly been off-road at all!
Currently experiencing a strange/frustrating intermittent fuel starvation (?) fault. See my other posts about that.
