Hi, I've got the abs light on, I does go out with a drive.

I've done the sequence to diagnose the fault but I'm getting a funny flash pattern.

That video above is during a flash/bleep test.
In normal dad to day, the light illuminates then goes out and comes back on, to me that says it's done it's checks and found a fault? Then as I said above it'll go out after a mile or two.
Is that normal?

It's a good few years since I had a D1 and I can't remember the exact sequence of lights but IMO the light will stay on until it is happy that all the ABS components are working (including wheel speed sensors).
If the light stays on for a mile or 2 then I guess you have a problem, unless you are a very slow driver :D

Oh and you said it goes out, not that it takes a mile or 2. :)

Just read the owners manual, it would appear that I'm trying to find a fault which doesn't exist

Not had the D1 for long and the last mot failed on the abs being on so I assumed there was a fault, but I was wrong.

Thanks @backinblack

As the handbook states there is a fault, unfortunately :(

Mine does go out with a drive, I thought the fact that it goes out for 1/2 a second and comes on again meant there was a fault but according to the handbook all is good and I'm an idiot lol.

@backinblack I don't want to go above 5mph as I'll have to go to the fuel station....V8

A mate of mine reckons it's more economical to get to 56mph as quick as you can, don't know if I agree but if I had a V8 I would deffinately enjoy trying :D
