Hi I'm rebuilding and servicing my Zenith and the pump is stuck inside the housing. Does it matter. How does it come out. Picture below is from YouTube showing the cylinder. Mine won't come out.
The spring moves but don’t think the piston doesDoes it move and pump fuel?
Ok thanks. Is fuel supposed to come out of the hole in the top?I really don't remember the zenith so no clue how it comes out but if it doesn't move then it's just blocked up with old fuel and sediment. It can turn to a varnish and eventually got rock solid and glue everything up.
Carb cleaner to the rescue, or a sonic bath
Ok thx. I have some of that.Wd40 won't help, you need carb cleaner as a minimum to break down the deposits. A spray can isn't expensive
That worked. Thanks very much. One last thing do you know the nut size for the butterfly as I seem to have misplaced mine. Thx againWd40 won't help, you need carb cleaner as a minimum to break down the deposits. A spray can isn't expensive
