Would any one be so kind as to measure and perhaps give me an idea on size of there cubby box, im a dab handy at wood work and as student budget doesnt stretch to such luxuries im going to make my own! Im after some basic measurements or even photos would be great!!! Thanks

Bout the width and length of the gap between the front seats and about a foot tall with a lid lith a hinge at the back.

spot on i reckon - whaddya say? Leave a bit out so you can still do yer seatbelts up!

An leave a bit off the front, bout an inch or so, so as yer can still waggle yer likkle gear lever back an forth.

Are you going to build an extra section for holding a stereo or CB?

What about a light inside or a couple of Cigarette Lighter sockets on the back for your rear passengers (i.e. kids with gameboys that they never charge before a long journey then moan that they can't play on them until dad's blood pressure raises to dangerous levels and he feels like throwing them out the window. The kids that is, not the gameboys... they can go on Ebay).

What about cup holders at the front? something else I need to add.

I was also looking at making mine lockable but seeing as it is only screwed to the floor I don't see the point. Unless anyone can suggest an easy way to attach it that is secure but means I can also take it off when I need access below.

haha kids... thank god ive non yeat, im only 22 ! but yea basically im going to try copy what you buy in the shops but im going to play about with a 3 way cigartte socket and my cb as have neither fitted!

Game boys, cup holders, are we in the Gaylander bit?

That's right mate. There I was, all my ferrets, spade, and gutted rabbits slung in the back of my Gaylander and I was thinking as I sat with the .22 poking out the window... I could really do with a couple of cup holders in here.

:D

If you'll pay the postage, and £3.20 for a Guinness at my local, you can have mine. It's the padded top one that let's you lock the radio in, with three holes for pints of Guinness too.

Would £20 cover the postage and a couple of Guinness, save me making one thanks Mark

I'd have had your arm of for that. Twelve years ago....

Two thoughts arise. The first that I've been on here far too long, the other - wasn't Guinness cheap in the olden days?
