Gents,

The rear door check mechanism on my 110 CSW was missing when I bought it and I'd like to replace it. However, my local Landy dealer doesn't know which part I need (I'm not kidding!).

Can anyone tell me what parts are missing from these pictures? I'm bloody sick of the door smacking into me!

im pretty sure ive got that bit in me garage..its the check bar that you can lock the door in place when open..i will check later if ive still got it...rich

This is what you should have (1997 300Tdi CSW) and you should find the bits on here... search results for "rear door check" | L. R. Series

Mine's different to that. I don't have the plate on the door with the two grooves to hold the roller/spring thing or the cut-out where the roller holds the check strap in place. Your pics show the parts that my local Landy dealer came up with, but they agreed they wouldn't fit my rear door.

I wonder if the rear door is off a different variant to the CSW. It clearly isn't the standard fitment, cos you have that and it's what the dealer told me was correct for my year/model.

puzzled.com!

Cheers Buster, but mine's different to that one too. I'm not sure exactly how/why, but it definitely is.

I guess I'm stuck with the door smacking into me, unless I only ever park facing uphill. ;)

Nae wurries mate;) That was the only one other than the 'normal' one that ah could find.

nice info on the bits....but thats not gonna help when i get round to my doors!!
The inner door skins on ALL doors are so rotten, the check bars have nowhere to locate & JUST FALL OUT!
Think my only solution other than gettin new doors is to buy some 101 canvas type ones (like mini series axle check straps) & rivet them on to some "good" metal or remove the rot, fill the door bottoms & rivet there..

unless anyone has overcome this before?
