I was backing up to a 4TB external drive each time it was connected. There were gazillions of backups...every 15mins or so...but, sadly, for some reason, it wasn't backing everything up, despite me being sure that was the case. Crap happens...all too regularly in my case... Hahaha!
RAID X is your friend.

That one's RIGHT over my head! Sounds incestuous =~[
Does but easy to explain . Son is daily or weekly backup. father is weekly or monthly back up grandfather monthly or 3 monthly back up. Chose what order you want. You end up having multiple back ups of data and free up space for new work
Confused you soon will be:D

The way it was done was 3 discs used in rotation, the days back up always done to the oldest one. We had smart software that only backed up files that had been changed on the day, so the backup did not take too long.

My backup setup was incremental I believe, but, it appears that I had NOT set everything to be backed up.
