Hi all
Please be honest with attached pics
I have cleaned and checked my bores for wear
replaces big end and main bearing shells etc
I have honed my cylinders
BUT
I am not sure they are cross hatched enough ?
There is signs of cross hatching but also horizonal lines
Should I redo and hone again
thanks

yes redo it
dont worry about taking too much material off you wont,a quick tickle with a hone is pointless it will polish off in a few minutes but if your going to hone the bores it needs to be right,

ok - had another go - a good minute on each bore - and tightened up the honing stones as well - looks a lot better and can definitely see the cross patterns
