I have just bought a P38 2.5 DHSE (1998) Auto. When pulling away from standstill it crawls away for about 5 seconds then jumps into life and away we go.
I have manually selected 1st gear on the box but this makes no difference at all.
Has anybody come across this problem before?
The vehicle has no Powerbox or Superchip but I will probably be fitting one.

agreed, filter and oil change is easy peasy definately worth doing, just keep it all CLEEAAN!!! Like mega mega clean!

Re: Changing the filter and oil in the auto box - is it an easy enough diy job then? How much oil is needed for the box?

Also what's the best oil for the engine?
