Not long got my first defender 90 td5 2003, don't know much about them so would be thankful if someone could give me some advice on action to take next.. took a hit to the front resulting in snapping the transmission exstention case mounts, is this part replaceable? Can you just drop it down and replace this part of the gear box and put back together?

Jeez would have been an alright bang to do that.

What other damage?

Easiest would be to get a replacement box I would have thought

Is that how it ended up or have you moved the box's apart ? And was any driving done after the bang?

The radius arm broke and the front wing and shock needs replacing.. can I not just replace the transmission extension case? Or you think the a whole new box? Thanks for the reply

No driving was done after I think it could have came apart a bit more after transporting the vehicle back home ect? Thanks for reply!

The radius arm broke???

Wtf. That’s a big crash, I would be more worried about my chassis being bent lol.

Do not see any reason you can not just replace the gearbox extension as long as the shaft that passes through inside is un damaged.
From what happened to a mates MT82 when a prop broke I do think that the casings of these box's are not as strong as the old R 380.

Have you any pictures of the front of vehicle ?
That's some serious impact to rip the radius arm mount off the chassis...
