Hi I have spent the day doing a service and replacing the timing belt on my 300tdi I also replaced the P gasket so had to refill the cooling system.
I did a search on the forum and have replaced the bleed plugs with central heating radiator bleed valves. One in the radiator and one in the thermostat housing. It made bleeding the system a lot easier I used the ones with the rubber O ring and square bleed screw in the middle.
I was just interested has any one used the same plugs for any length of time and how good they are or has any one had any problems with them????

Thanks for the quick reply Hifly have just put mine in and we are going on holiday Saturday and will be doing 318 miles to Minehead for 2 weeks holiday and of coarse 318 miles back and all the running around in between so just putting my mind to rest they will be ok many thanks

I sell em as kits on fleabay. Only prob I have had is one guy that said they didnt fit??.

Rings tend to be cut if removing the whole assy very often.

Dont need both with bleed screw - one bleed screw & onr blanking plug, for rad.
