I have G48 ready mixed and its blue. Coolant appeared low this morning so put 1.5 l water in it and dipstick at the top of cap!
What is worst if i put some G48 blue in and theres something like pink in there? I intend on flushing in a week once garage opens
As said by others I wouldn't risk mixing it. Just hope it doesn't get too cold and risk the engine freezing.
I see. Looks like temps wont drop below -1 where I am. How cold does it need to be to freeze it strictly speaking? And would this cause damage?
I guess it depends how much antifreeze is in the car, how cold it gets, how long the car is left without running. I have a bucket of water in the garden that had a nice layer of ice on the top a couple of days ago when we got -2. I suppose you would be unlucky for it to freeze enough to do any damage but I'm not an expert, the only car I've seen pop a core plug was my dopey brothers many years ago.
