Hi,

Has anybody ever connected a P38 to this kind of software. If so, what was the comunication protocol used?

Thanks for the help!

Why?

Torque automatically detects the protocol fine with my GEMS engine. If you still need it I can find out tomorrow for you.

If there's an issue with a diesel then you'll need a Nanocom or similar. Have you got a problem?

For now I dont have any special problem (knock on wood 3 times!!). I just wanted to make this conection for the fun of it.
About the sitting down and start writing.... I wish i knew how. The last time i did some programing was in my old spectrum 48k!! I think things as changed a bit!

Interesting that you tried. I never bothered but some of the Torque stuff is quite good. I use a bluetooth thingy together with Android Torque on my other car and it is great.

Hm, I've not yet managed to get my Bluetooth adapter working on the RR, works on everything else though!

It will only work for the petrol engines as the rest is not OBD compliant.

Diesel won't work. Pretty certain the GEMS will.

Might be your adapter? Heard some bad stories from some off Fleabay. Also, adapter has to be in and running before you start the Torque app.
